When we dreamed up the Ribelle, we were quite clear about where we were heading: this wasn't evolution, it was revolution. We were looking for a boot that was comfortable for long approach walks, accurate on technical terrain and warm enough, to be worn by anyone seeking to move nimbly from valley floor to summit.
We might have thought this was too much to ask, but instead we sought to improve even more, with the 2.0 version. It's our job, but above all it's our passion. Here's what we've done this time around.
Elastic gaiter: we used knitwear technology to make the gaiter more robust and seamless, with varying thickness and elasticity. This makes the boot easier to put on and gives a feeling of maximum lightness, comfort and stability.
Waterproof HDry® membrane: An innovative material that guarantees exceptional waterproofing while remaining highly breathable. The fineness of the membrane also helps to make the boot less bulky.
Upper: raised protection in the ankle area, to give extra support.
Heat insulation: The lining is divided into two sections: Primaloft Silver in the centre and back, Primaloft Gold at the front. This allows us to prioritise the front of the foot, the part of the boot more likely to be cold.
Lacing: This is one of the major new features of the Ribelle 2.0. No more rubber lace protector; we've developed an innovative asymmetric overlapping system that's built into the upper. The result is a feeling of total envelopment, comfort and protection, with none of the usual pressure points.
What's the Ribelle Tech 2.0 HD for?
To date, there's no other product on the market that can compete with the Ribelle Tech 2.0 HD. Maximum walking efficiency, comfortable and accurate fit, less bulk and limited weight (approximately 630 grammes) make this a real landmark among footwear in its category.
Speed mountaineering, traverses on ice, long days spent moving in the mountains: what you need is the Ribelle Tech 2.0 HD.
